Bottled. Ambery aley more so than lagery, floral, caramel, with some grassy notes.

Bottle. Just an average beer. Has a nice amber color but everything else about this beer is so average.

Bottle from the brewery. Clear amber pour, small white head.
Quite malty, light grassy hops. Nothing much, but quite refreshng after a warm afternoon of yardwork.

Shared 12 oz. bottle. Hazy copper with an off-white head. Aroma of malt, sugar, and alcohol. Taste is malt, sugar, burnt bread, nuts, and caramel. Finish is sweet with mild bitterness. Not a fan.

Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a semi-dark to hazy burnt orange to ruddy brown color with tinges of sly malty looking red colors escaping along the sides of the glass. Thin white foamy but mainly bubbly head quickly dissipated leaving barely any lacing.
The smell had some dark roasty bready/burnt nutty dried (slightly dead-like yeastiness). Burnt biscuits.
The flavor was mainly the same with a dry sweetness to it. Pretty much that \"burnt\" flavor to it. Dry burnt bready aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly mild.
Overall, as an American amber lager, there’s much better ones on the market than this. Yeah, I wouldn’t come back to this.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 10/29/2015. Pours crystal clear deep orange/copper color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Great appearance. Aromas of brown sugar, cracker, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of brown sugar, cracker, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of cracker, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, light pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. very nice robustness, complexity, and balance of bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Very clean on lager flavors with zero yeast ester notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 5.1%. Overall this is a very nice Vienna lager style. All around good robustness and balance of bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Pours an amber from a bottle. All of the bottles of this type in the mix 12 pack exploded upon opening for some reason. Aroma of soapy citrus, flavor similar with some light carameliness. Okay beer.

Rating from July 2010...Amber colored...first sniff is yuengling...in other words a general lager aroma with a fruity citrus finesse....taste is better than aroma.....a kicked up spiced up lager...it is good though....nice balance....slightly above average.....grapefruit hints throughout and the bitterness of the flavor is in the finish...nice even body

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear dark copper with about a half finger of off-white head. Aroma of caramel, a little grass and a little sour green apple. Taste is light bitter. Very malty. Mostly caramel with a little grass and some roasty nuts. Medium bodied with a somewhat creamy texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, not bad. Much better than I was expecting from Magic Hat actually.

Bottle. Pours cloudy amber with minimal, quickly dissipating head. Aroma has notes of wheat and toasted malt. Taste has wheat, toasted malt, and lemon notes. Overall an easy drinker.
