Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Malt, roast, peat and soft cigar notes in the aroma. Malty roasty, syrupy, peaty but also grassy hopbitter flavor. Dry, yet malty. Tar and peat. Very tasty, satisfyingly balanced beer.

Shared bottle at RB/HD at Askje 13.10.18. Almost ebony. Small brown head. Strong aroma of peated Whisky. Similarly strong taste of peated Whisky and tar.

Fra 0,33 flaske på RBHD-samling hos Asle Bjørn, okt-18: brunsvart med ok skum. Fine toner fra fatlagringen - hint av tjære og fjære, som sammen med velbrygget kaffe, mørke dessertsjokolader og tørkede frukter resulterer i en farlig lettdrikkelig øl med stor personlighet.

Shared 330 ml bottle. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of tar and roast malts, hints of peat. Flavour of peat smoke, tar, roast malts and bittering hops.

Borefts 2014. Black. Roasted grains and nuts, coffee, lots of piny and fruity hops. Chocolate and a nice spiciness. Creamy. A joy ride. Backlog from 2014/09/26.

Keg at Borefts day 2 27/09/2014. Bodegraven. Dark caramel / reddy coloured pour with a sticky cream head. Aroma is cherry fruits, caramel, toffee malts. Flavour is composed of lovely cream caramel, nutty praline, choc and lactose sugars. Nice layered malts, . Palate is full and velvety on the tongue. . Very tasty.

33 cl bottle. Pours hazy dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted darkmalty, breadish too. Sweet, roasted, toffee and breadish malty. Lasting bitter and roasted dry malty. Slight caramelish sweetness.

Draught @ 6th Borefts Beer Festival 2014, Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands. [ As Emelisse Black & Tan ].Clear medium to dark black brown color with a average to large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee, dusty. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, roasted, burnt, coffee, sugary, roasted bitter. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20140926]

Borefts VI. Day 2. Bottle. Clear but very dark brown beer, good pale tan head. Palate is airy and semi dry. Decent fine carbonation. Mild dark malts, touch of roast and dry dark chocolate. Mild dried fruits, Dry finish. Not bad.
