Botella 33 cl de la antigua internacional Oviedo. Lote 08. hasta 17-02-2002. (r30).

One of John Martin’s aromatized cheap lagers with a trendy look in a transparent longneck bottle - a particular style I can only meet with deep distrust. Which proved justified in this case: this was a clear, orangey blonde beer with thin, snow white head and off-putting aroma and taste of sugar, brown rhum, some grainy sourishness and a finish dominated by artificial rhum extract, in a chemical way, as well as cloying sweetness. Must have been one of the first tastes I had of this type of lager and like very good beers, very bad ones leave a lasting impression just as well...

Deep golden colour, only slight fuzz for a head. Smells sweet, fusel, slight smoke and cane sugar. Flavour is unbalanced sweet and rum fusel. Rather pretty bottle, not good beer.

Bottled. Clear deep golden. Aroma of cigerette smoke from yesterday. Sweetish up front, then just empty. Though vacuum with day-old cigarette smoke may sound pretty bad this shit actually tastes worse than that. Absolute horror.

Bottle: Poured a golden color with a froathy white head. Aroma is sour grain and rum. Taste is sweet with rum and a weak grainy finish. Drain pour material!

Appearance: Clear golden. Lots of white head. Aroma: Artificial, no beer aroma. Glue? Taste: No beer flavour, artificial. Why oh why? Info: 330ml bottle, 10/2-2009

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is rum. Rum and plum in flavour along with some hops. Quite interesting "Pale lager" which only reminds of Rum. Though, I am not a big rum fan... and this beer reminded me why...

Test vom 7.11.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,11,12,5,8,9 - 9,00

(Bottle 33 cl) If you can have beer with tequila flavour I reckon a beer with rum flavour is a logical next step, or what....? Well, as a gadget it’s not really that bad. Amber coloured with a very small head. The rum flavours are certainly there, but they’re never overpowering. Thin, dry body. OK as such - these days you can get much more yucky stuff. 290498

Copper color. Strong aroma: rum, raisins; light vanilla. Poor beer characteristics, hidden by a light sweetness, raisins and vanilla again. Odd!
