Rogue - Double Chocolate Stout
Can at home shared with Laura. Opaque black color with a huge sized light brown colored head. Aroma and flavor are malts, brown malts, malt bitters, dusty cocoa powder instead of chocolate if you'd ask me. Mwah. Not great imo, not really my kind of flavor. 8-6-6-7-6

Burk med PQ efter biff rydberg hos mig. Här har vi torr hårt rostad malt och lite bourbon 🥃. Efter en stund så finns det bara bitter malt och svagt svagt bourbon . Choklad ?? Näää inget . Tyvär för hårt kolsyrad ockdå . Lite tunn också. Men visst finns mååånga bittrare varianter än denna i klassen.

Can via Beer Republic. Full body, medium carbonation. Med-high sweetness and bitterness in a nice balance. Lots and lots of clean chocolatey maltiness here, living up to its name. Med-light nutty and only a touch of deep roast. Somehow feels milky as well, I would guess it has lactose in a blind test. Very tasty, with a good flavour evolution into a more nutty finish. ABV hidden really well, does not feel strong besides the rich flavour. Great beer.

Canned 12/14/23, drunk 1/26/24. Dark chocolate, probably clear. Medium-sized, lighter-tan head shows modest retention. Fruity, moderately malty, doesn't seem dominated/overdone with chocolate. Fig, plum, raisin, caramel, mild roast. No booze. Wow, that's shockingly balanced. Soft, sweet, chocolatey, with excellent acidity to balance. Not a bunch of gross, over-roasted acidity either. No alcohol. Malty, reasonably attenuated, though at only a month old, it's still on the sweeter side. Would be nice in six months or a year, I'd guess, but very drinkable now.

Can. Pours opaque dark brown with a small frothy tan head, chocolate-rum aroma, low carbonation, sweetish dark chocolate-mocha taste with alcohol undertones, smooth body, long chocolatey finish. Quite potent but easy to drink.

Poured from 473mL can. Near back with full beige head. Dark chocolate, touch of roast, a little one note, but not bad. Aroma slightly better than the taste.
