Can at home. Unclear dark honeylike amber with offwhite head. Sweet malts, bread, tea, caramel, weedy hops, oranges, tangerine and something more exotic. Medium sweet and light bitter. Medium body, bit malty and bit mineralwaterlike textures. Very pleasant fat and slick mouthfeel and equally pleasing bittersweet fruity and hoppy finish.

Can at home. Almost clear amber with decent sized beige head. Lots of citrus with lime, grapefruit and orange. Nice caramel, soft roasted malts, a hint of cocoa. Basically what you’d expect but maybe even more fruity and hoppy. There’s some grassyness in the finish too. Under medium sweet and medium bitter. Decent medium bodied without the light chalky feel some red ales can have. Good beer.

330ml can from Beer Ritz. Deep amber colour with a tan foamy head leaving lacing. Fruity hop aroma. Taste is malt, toasted, caramel with fruity orange hop, pine and tangy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft to medium carbonation, dry earthy bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Can from Tanakaya. Pours a deep ruby red / copper with a finger of head that dissipates instantly. Very faint tropical notes, and lots of toffee. Light bodied with a thin mouthfeel and more toffee candy. Dry finish. Decent.

Holiday, Top-50 #1- can from @Bitter Virtue, #Southampton, 33cl, chilled. Pours some cloudy/hazy amber/red with a yellow/white head. Aroma is amazingly fresh and hoppy, pine, redin, grass, straw, hay. Taste is pretty bitter, medium sweetness, soft base beer, malts, earthly, nuts, hops, yeast, quite some caramel, medium body, long pine and resin bitter aftertaste, has te be drunk cold !

Can. Nose is fruity, red berry, orange, modern tropical hops. Taste is malt, orange, leading to grapefruit, lime, the body is malty, biscuit, toast, hazelnut. Mouthfeel is full. Reminiscent of black IPA in the use of modern hops alongside a different body. It?s alright but I can?t get excited by amber ales, however kindly I’m asked to try it...
