Aus der Flasche 2016-12 getrunken. Oh ja das Rotweinfass hat hier eine tolle Frucht in dieses traumhafte Quardrupel geazubert. Perfekt balanciert. Geiles Zeug.

Bottle. Dark brown color, almost no foam. Aroma: very complex, oak, liquor, red wine, roasted and caramel malt, dried fruit, esters. Taste: strong, sweet, sherry, caramel and chocolate, alcohol. Great wine :)

Bottle - Boozy, vinous and red fruit. Very big and bold. Jet brown with a light brown head. Sticky dark fruit and barrel, tobacco notes. Much more balanced and subtle than the nose. Bit of heat on the throat.

Brown black colour, white head. Aroma of wood and brown sugar. Sweet flavour, cacao, malts and brown sugar. Light sweet finish, brown sugar, red wine. Nice!

Tasting at Matt’s
Dark brown, opaque. The aroma is a bit too boozy, the flavor is more malty, quite rich, moderately sweet, some brandy, light nuts.
Excellent.

330mL bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma is very complex, with loads of red wine barrels, followed by dry caramel and toasted notes -- not a huge alcohol quality. Flavour has a shitload going on, with red wine barrels, perfume, toasted dry caramel and dry dark fruits. Fairly boozy, but with a lovely warming quality. A little harsh and perfumey, but really nice for what it is.

Dull dark brown. No head. This has a nice red wine barrell, light phenols and some stewed fruits. Sweet, has a lot of red wine, plus light esters and phenols from the quad. But none of the cloying. Very nicely balanced, actually, with great fruity character balanced by alcoholic dryness.

Backlog - thnx to Phille! Pours dark brown, small white head. Smell is malty, heavy on the red wine. Complex. Taste is fairly bitter, fruity by the wine. Dry, malty taste towards the end. Good MF, bit too sharp carbo. Bit sweet. nice !

You groovin’ you shakin’, you find the one Norwegian dessert wine specified as such. Well Hell, it’s not bad anyways, you pop open the cork an Toro Y Moi is on the Stereo. I don’t think there has been another singer who is so divisive to this generation: he’s either pure shite, boring as hell, or brilliant as fuck. Well, you got a beer between those opinions anyways to make amends. I did a hard pour with this into a wineglass and the head was barely present, less a point fer that me dear Norwegian gangstas. The aroma is mud and fusel alcohol, a bit of barley and coffee, wanting something more, wishing to want, my mind has gone, on the verge of cryin’, it’s missin’ here. At least I think I tell her that the flavour is grape-ish barley, lots of sweetness, unnecessarily so, bread and dark chocolate and too much cloying sugar on this one. Drinkable to be sure, but flavour is missing; this is a molasses bomb in all the senses of the word, too much sweetness and other crap while any so-called talent and control has been left to the wayside. I know you Norwegian bruisers: you can make high booze beers. But make them sing? I hain’t not yet seen it.
