Roman Candle was the first Bellwoods IPA. If you’re looking for a perfect, no-nonsense, hoppy and hazy American IPA, this is your jam. It provides you with all the excitement of a real roman candle, but without the common risks associated with pyrotechnics.
A hazy, dank and lightly resinous beer that showcases lots of juicy melon, apricot, and orange peel. Show Less

Reviewed from notes.
Can to becher glass.
Appearance: burnt orange haziness with a two finger white foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: melony to apricot and tangerine-like hoppy tones over top of some clean malts
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas bittersweetly and juicy with a mild aftertaste of melon-esque and tangerine hop qualities
Texture: medium bodied, leaning towards being a sipper, nice low carb, smooth along the tongue, finishes somewhat juicy through the melon and apricot
Overall: pretty nicely done NEIPA I would have again.

You cant ask for much more in a great ipa. Beautifl nose of citrus, and pine hops. Light malts, just enough to keep the hops in check. Slightly thick mouth feel, soft carb, medium to high bitterness, with more pine, resin hops in the finish.

473ml can. Opaque yellow, small white head. Aroma of orange and grapefruit, slightly dank, piney. Taste is very fruity, orange, grapefruit, tropical fruits, very piney, resinous, dank, solid bitterness. Medium bodied. Excellent NEIPA, they don't make many like this these days!

473 can. Pours an opaque whitish yellow with minimal head. Aromas of orange juice, mashed tropical fruit and wheaty malts. Flavors are pretty much the same though tropical fruit initial emphais followed by orange peel. It’s a Hazy though not identified as such on the package. Minus point.

473ml can. Pours a cloudy yellow gold with a medium, foamy, long lasting, white head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet fruity aroma of bready wheat malt, orange, pineapple, mango, cantaloupe and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of bready wheat malt, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, cantaloupe, mango, earthy yeast and piney hops in a dry, bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Pretty tasty.
