Dublin Porter is inspired by a reference in our historic brewers' diaries dating back to 1796. It is a sweet and smooth beer with subtle caramel and hoppy aroma notes and a burnt biscuit finish.

Bottle at home. Aroma is dark malt, light cream, hazelnut, hint of coffee and cocoa. Flavour is lightly sourish and light bitter. Body is light, thinnish. Much better than Guinness Draught, but not nearly as good as the West Indies Porter.

Bottle from Appie Hengelo. Deep dark brown color. Malty soft roasty aroma. Thin, milky Malty soft roasty flavor with toffee and a hint of butter. Sweetish, soft but pleasant.

500 ml bottle at home. Thin brown cola pour, soft off white head that leaves quickly. Bland chocolate notes, not the usually amount of coffee or toasty aromas I would expect from a porter. Taste is thin and very much like a large bottle of Guinness. Poor attempt.

Really looking forward to this with its low % mild attitude, I usually like mild beers. Pour is big and black from a bottle. First taste is very pleasant, yummy actually. Reminds me of black cat I think. Very good cutting carbonation and a civilized attitude that is easy to take. i just think I may go get a case if this, the price seems right, $1.50 per bottle! Gentle easy fun. Very nice session dark beer, reminds me of a dark michelob or dark lager, very very friendly. Probably should be styled as a mild beer. It even has a tad of tart attitude about it. Quite nice, well done. Friendly roasted character throughput. Never in yer face. Certainly one of the better porters I've had in a long time. Quite refreshing considering all the rude examples of porter I've had lately. Looking forward to my next bottle of this brew! Lovely! Right up there with Indigo Imp Gatekeeper, East End Pink Clouds Porter, Yuengling Original Black and Tan & Evans Chocolate Porter
