Keg at the Constitution, Leith. Dark gold with a semblance of white head. Mild malty aroma, hard to get excited about. Sweetish umami in the taste. Almost like something not really edible, like blu-tac or paper glue. Finish is chock full of crystal malt. This is drinkable but has serious issues, and I’d expect more from a brewery of this calibre.

(Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 29 Aug 2015) Golden amber colour with brief, white head. Fruity, malty nose with apricots, orange and soft malt aromas. Malty, fruity taste with notes of apricots, orange, soft bready malt and a gentle citric bitterness. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Refreshing and summery. Quite nice.

Draft at De La Gare. Pours light hazy orange with a big white head. Aroma of malt, light fruits, wort and light citrus. Flavour is over light sweet and moderate bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Keg at the Princess of Wales, Blackheath. Gold pour with a white head. Citrus fruit and peach aroma. Flavours of grapefruit and light spice. Quenches the old thirst on a scorching summer’s day.

300th US rating. A nice sweet crisp amber ale, very sessionable and different from what most summer seasonals try to be. Good beer.
