Draught keg at the Scotia Bar, Glasgow. Very light brown and ckear with a good-sized off-white head and lots of cloudy lacing. Caramel aroma, a little metallic. Sweetctaste, more caramel, a little malt. Not much here. Light joy with medium carbonation. It's as basic a bitter as you'll ever have.

Nitro can.
Cheap sweet malts. Next to no hops. Very sweet, light bitter finish with a toffee honey aftertaste. Meh.

Amber clear with a thick white head Not much going on with aroma and flavour It's very much like creamy best bitters from the 80s and 90s. Very easy drinking if not overly inspiring.

Pint on tap at Dickens Tavern, Melbourne. Pours a golden bronze with a thick head of cream on top. Zero carbonation. Nose is caramel and grass. Light body, easy drinking. Lots of sweet malt and a cleansing herbal finish. Very nice bitter, typically Scottish.

44cl can from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Opens to quite a pop, must be nitrogen. Pours red towards brown, clean and transparent, with very fine creamy foam. Aroma is caramel, toffee and earthy. Body is rather thin, with no carbonation. Taste is very moderately sweet, rather absent, actually Final is dry.

Keg at Station Bar, just on the north side of the city centre of Glasgow. Dark clear amber with a thick creamy-frothy head. Smooth fairly dense best bitter, towards the lower end of the bitterness scale.
