33cl bottle as a gift in Tallinn. Pours hazy brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of dark malts, rye bread and fruity hops. Moderate sweet with flavour of rye bread and fruity hops and a nice bitterness. Medium body with about average carbonation. Nice one!

(Bottle, 0.33 l - batch 007 - BB 12/08/2014, at Drink Baar, 20131222) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and almost white. Aroma had malts, sweet rye bread and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, sweet rye bread, fruitiness, citricness and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A balanced hoppy rye infused brew.

330 ml bottle from Drink Shop. Hazy, dark brown pour with a rich and almost brown top. Does have some nice hop freshness in the nose - but mainly it does smell like a kvass. Taste is even more like kvass - there is black bread, mixed with kvass extract. Liquid bread, just as the label says. First some black rye bread crumbs, turning into warm, wet and sweet bread soup. At the end it feels more like kvass again, something sweet in the background, fruity finish. I do like the hops that give a nice fresh character to this quite unusual brew. Not completely perfected yet but still very enjoyable rye ale.

Batch 002, 330 ml bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with small tan head. The head dissapears quickly. Intense aroma of rye, which reminds aroma of kvass. There is also noticeable sweetness and faint promise of alcohol in the smell. Taste reminds also kvass, of course rye is there, but also some sourness and hints of sweetness. Bitterness gets more and more intense in the finish. Nice long finish. Soft carbonation. Overall: good beer. I really like the aroma of this one.
