[9/24/15] Bottle sample at the pre-Borefts tasting at ABC Beers in Den Haag. Thanks everyone who shared bottles! Black with a brown head. Big roasty coffee aroma, quite vegetal. Roasty bittersweet flavor with lots of coffee and a bitter finish. Full-bodied.

Pours dark brown / black color with light brown head. Aromas of coffee, roasted malt, chocolate, and vanilla. Coffee and bittersweet chocolate flavors with roasted malt and some vanilla. Full body with minimal carbonation. Good stuff.

Pre Borefts Tasting at ABC Beers, Den Haag. Opaque black - brown beer, small pale tan head. Airy palate. Very dark chocolate. Mild cream. Mild spice. Chocolate truffles. Spicy finish. Pretty tasty.

Bottle split at the ABC Beers pre Borefts tasting, 24/09/15. Black topped with a dirty tan swirl. Nose is rich malt, coffee grinds, spice, tar, chocolate. Taste comprises coffee cake, chocolate fudge, sweet licks, light roast, toffee. Full bodied, fine carbonation, subtle warming alcohol in the close. Solid impy, good balance.

Bottle at ABC Beers Pre-Borefts tasting, The Hague. Pours black with a medium brown head. Aroma of dark chocolate, roast, coffee, fudge, vanilla, light licorice and caramel. Flavour is light heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Full bodied with a sticky mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Very nice!

650 ml bottle thanks to AdamC. Black as a struck match with a thick full tan head. Aroma is rich dark chocolate, bitter espresso bean and a note of molasses. Nice!
The flavor is pretty bitter coffee beans with a nice base of barley and roasted grain. Has a very "green" coffee bean that becomes bitter in the finish. The body is thick and full with a creamy texture. Gosh, this is some thick ass shit right here! Leaves a creamy film over my tongue. You could drop a scoop of vanilla ice cream in this and make an ice cream float. Crazy amounts of coffee and vanilla.
