The Brits coined the term "session," but beer-brewing countries have been crafting their own versions of these flavorful, low-gravity beers for centuries. Brewed in the traditional, Belgian Saison style, our interpretation is refreshing and dry with a spicy yeast character and floral hop aroma.

Can sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Ariel. Hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma of fruity esters and spiciness. Fruity flavor, a bit spicy, rather dry, slightly sweetish. Light to medium-bodied.

It pours a straw gold, looks slightly hazy, forms a 2 finger head of foam and again, great lacing.

It smells yeasty, spicy with cloves etc, wheat, all of the goodies I expect from a Saison.

Could the tastes ever be more true to smell than this? lol. Yeasty, spicy...second pour brings a stronger haze and that can me even more flavour judging from my past experiences with the style.

The spice and yeast rule this sucker and it even has a mild hop flavour if you’re into Saisons with that trait.

The mouthfeel is perfection for the style, imho.

This is a wonderful Saison and the fact that it is only 3.8% abv is icing on the cake.

12oz bottle pours a hazy gold with some creamy, white head. Nose is nice and floral, some perfume, some herbs, lightly malt, honey. Flavor is the same, mildly gristy, very floral, lightly herbal, lightly sweet. Clean finish. Very nice. Solid session beer.

Tap @Cambridge, 1.
Slightly hazy orange color, creamy white head. Saison yeasty, spicey-fruity aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Typical Saison yeast flavor, green apple. Crisp. A bit watery and "too easy" Saison for my liking.

Bottle courtesy of AirForceHops. Cloudy straw gold with a large white head. Pineapple, Belgian yeast, sweet bready malt, and spice aroma. Spicy Belgian yeast, bready malt flavor with a mild hoppy finish. Medium body, lively carbonation. Nice.

Bottle in the USA. Pours cloudy gold with a large, white cream head. Nose of dough, faint lemon. Light to medium sweet flavor with plenty of sugary dough, a bit of toasted sugars, faint tangy lemon, touches of straw bitterness. Yeah, quite a bit of dough. Light bodied with average carbonation. Very faint citrusy tang to finish, with more sweet and doughy malts, some white bread. It’s an OK saison. It dries out slightly in the finish, which alleviates some of the sweetness. Very subtle, dry tosaty grass bitterness as well. Drinks a touch stronger than the ABV, FWIW. Nothing too wrong here.

A lightly hazed amber saison with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, nice herbaceous malt with light catnip, orange pulp, very nice. In mouth, a nice smooth spiced saison, very herbal, nice cloves, clean and smooth. On tap at Meadhall, Sept. 11 2011.

Poured from 12oz bottle, pours cloudy yellow with large bubbly white head and nice lacing. Steady carbonation. Aroma has a huge amount of citrus, spice and yeast. Taste is bready yeasts up front, with hops on the back end. The spice is there but not dominant. Body is light to medium. Overall, this is a very good and interesting saison, great for a summer day. Overall, nice and refreshing.

Pours pale gold into a Sam glass. Off-white micro head conglomerates and pancakes as it recedes leaving spot lacing. Yeast and hay aromas. Dry with upfront biscuit and spice turning to sweet hay before the lasting pepper finish.
