Hackney Bottleshare. Thanks to Leighton. Almost opaque dark brown beer, good tan head. Palate is airy and dry and has decent fine carbonation. Fluffy dark malts, mellow. Pippy raspberry, mildly bitter. Modest coconut. Tangy fruity finish. Bitterish raspberry linger. Does what it says on the tin.

Keg at BD Clerkenwell. It pours opaque and black with a decent tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malts, big coffee character, toasted coconut, dark chocolate, liquorice, umami, red berry and tar. The taste initially has a fair bit of acidity, red berry skin, rich coffee character, quite an earthy roast, burnt toast, peppery spice, ash, liquorice, umami and almost sour in areas with a dry, earthy/ashy finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Aroma is decent but taste is a bit sour, which feels out of place in the balance of things. I like the idea, but it didn’t work for me.
