Brewed in collaboration with our friends Brouwerij Alvinne. The nose is complex with cloves and sweet candy like notes mixing with earthy, floral and wine like characteristics. The flavour is deep leading with classic triple flavours of sweet-malt, figs and a touch of honey. The finish is peppery with some fruit courtesy of the wine barrels. The mouthfeel is round and warming.

Bottled. Hazy orange colour, mediumsized white head, which leaves a rich lace. Aroma is zest, spices, some yeast, mild spices, rye and some ripe fruits and alcohol. Flavour is zest, spices, some honey, mildwood, spicesand mild sour notes to it as well. Big and bold, but also a bit messy.

375ml bottle. Barely clear, orangey, dark golden to amber colour with small to average, fluffy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Woody, slightly fruity, and sweet-ish malty aroma, minimally tannic notes of oak, hints of yellow stone fruit, with a minimally jelly bear touch, malty basis with hints of biscuit, honey, gingerbread, yeasty spicy overtones with a peppery touch of blue cheese. Taste is dry, earthy, musty-spicy woody, notes of mouldy oak, blue cheese, widely disguised fruity- and maltiness with subtle sweetness, a touch of yellow stone fruit, floral honey. Quite heavy, annoying mildew interference, too woody as well - not much Triple character left.

Bottle from 7,000 Jars of Beer, Kingston. Spicy, fruity, vinous aroma. Marmalade, in both aroma and colour. Thin translucent white head just forms a ring and no more. Initial medium bitterness and tart sourness smooth out through to a warming finish. The rye adds spice. The booze comes through. Medium bodied. Slick to oily. Fizzy carbonation. Long dry finish, a tad astringent. A spicey warming beer. Good stuff.

Bottle. Wine Rack, Sharrow, Sheffield. A Christmas gift from the missus. Murky, pale copper colour. Film of white. Nose has raisins. White wine dregs. Sweet grape. Sweaty oak. Touch of brett and trois. Taste is sweet and chewy. Light, funky tartness. Nicely rich mouthfeel, but not feeling the ABV. Vinous, sweet, and woody on the finish. Very nice.

Bottle picked up from Beer Metropolis, Little Eaton, Derbyshire, consumed at home Tuesday 6th March 2018Orange with a white head and a haze. The aroma is a fascinating concoction of honey, perfume, brett and wine but the ageing has also left soft woody touches. This is an interesting beer, I don't completely love it but I do like it.
