From tap at Hoppy Days. Thickly cobweb-lacing, snow white, moussy head, deep warm orangey blonde robe, clear. Aroma of dried orange peel, toasted bread, dried mango, lemon zest, lime, biscuit. Crisp fruitiness in the mouth, green banana, unripe gooseberry, softish carbo, minerally flavors here and there, smooth caramelly and lightly toasted malt body, mild grassy and gently aromatic hoppiness in the end. Perhaps a tad too modest in the hops department even for an APA, but certainly a very well-made beer.

Tap at Hoppy Days. Clear golden with white head. Lots of resinous and citrus hops, light flowers, French herbs, grass. Lots of fresh notes here, with some caramel. Medium bitter and under medium sweet. Medium bodied. I quite like this, it stands out between the other Italian stuff we’ve been having here.

Tap. Shakespeare’s, Sheffield. Fairly hazy, dark gold. Film of dense, lasting, off white head. Nose is big, sweet malts, with ripe, gooey, tropical fruits. Lots of orange pulp. Orange rind. Some oily herb. Taste is chewy sweet, with ripe, citrus fruit bitterness. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Long, rising, zesty bitter finish. Nice one.

At a tasting, thanks, smallish bubbly head, cloudy muddy orange color, aroma yeast, roots, plaster and decaying organic matter, flavor of plaster, paper and stale nuts, a bit coarse light piney bitterness. Not too good.
