The Queen Bee is a delicious dry hopped IPA (7.7% ABV) with a smooth citrus hoppy flavor. It has a yellow/orange color with a firm hoppy foam. The Queen Bee is an English style IPA with an American hop. We used a single hop, Cascade. The hop is used during the boil for bitterness, and during dry-hopping for aroma. It gives a nice, refreshing, fruity IPA with taste of grapefruit.

Bottle at home. Aroma is floral hops, light malt, biscuit, sweetish fruits, soft tropical notes, touch of yeast. Flavour is light sweet and moderate to medium bitter. Body is medium. This is not much of an IPA, but it’s certainly a pleasant enough beer.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 26 July 2017) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of honey, citrus and caramel. Malty, fruity taste with honey, citrus, orange, apricots and a balanced citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.
