This is the big brother to our session porter, Amoor. We tried a new hop with a suggestive blueberry characteristic that people started using in pale ales, but we thought it could be more fantastic as a pairing with a richer, slightly stronger porter. We always strive to B-Moor, and you should, too.

660ml bottle. Opaque, darkest brown colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Chocolately, dark malty aroma, spicy, herbal hoppy overtones, hints of (blue-)berry shrubs, a touch of blueberry and black currant. Taste is slightly sweet, chocolately dark malty, refreshing fruity hoppy overtones, notes of blueberry, hints of black currant, herbal spicy overtones of corresponding shrubs, some hop bitterness. Excellent juxtaposition of partly matching and partly antagonistic malt and hop flavours arrange for a refreshing, agile ensemble operating mentally inspiring till the last drop.

Bottle, 12C. Dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of mocha, toast, berries, new leather. Silky, lowish carbonation. Almost milky. Sweet mocha and Indian sweets, blackcurrants, some citrus that’s a little Lemon Pledge. The roasted notes are not that strong but seem well defined. Fruity hops (some citrus, I get more blackcurrant than blueberry), fairly high bitterness. Quite interesting - quite sweet but very clean and not heavy at all; hops contribute berries and then take over at the finish. I liked this a lot.
