Through autumn we forage the hedgerows around the brewery that are heavy with berries. Every year we will bring out Redwood, an annual release celebrating the previous years hedgerow vintage.
Aged for almost a year in some second use Modus Operandi, Burgundy red wine and Scotch Whisky barrels to produce a rich, rounded, tart beer that is intriguing and tasty.
This year we believe it's our best aged with copious amounts of Sloes, Blackberries, Raspberries, Mulberrys, Damsons, Plums, Gooseberries, and Elderberries. Need we say more?

Thanks to Bierridder_S & Stijn B.! Sampled draft @ BBP Anniversary Festival 2017. Looks like I liked the 2015 edition a lot more. Bright red, little off-white head. Nose is basic bit empty yoghurt sour with spoiled berries & low plastic. Taste is weak empty yoghurt, red fruit, raspberry, spoiled red fruit, fizzy & empty. Just felt weak, bit empty not the most impressive complex profile, not a bad beer but a quite week sour / oud bruin for me. Weird given my very high ratings of the 2015 version but maybe I was in a different mood.
