Sampled draft @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. Hazy orange, creamy white head. Nose is poor, yeasty, milky sweet, sugar, candy, oily sweet, low vanilla, strange rice pudding. Taste is overly sweet, milky sweet, sugar, candy, rice pudding, oily, far too sweet for what it should be. Far too yeasty body, sugar, rice pudding. Poorer for sure than the other Crew Republic beers that I have had before now, poor or old keg maybe? Scores look decent.

Bottle at Lemmy’s, Leiden. Poured a clear hazy amber with a big frothy white head. The aroma is yeast, woody grassy hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a big woody resin hop, toffee, fruity, light alcohol palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle, bubbly creamy merangue like head, very hazy lightish orange color, jammy, malty lightly grainy aroma, some very ripe oranges, quite sweet orange marmalade flavor with some almond and biscuit, medium herbal bitterness, unbalanced and quite heavy. Drinkable But not that great.

I have been known to be the "last man standing" referred to on the label so I guess this is the right beer for me... Egg-white, moussy, very stable, medium thick head leaving a ’membrane’ of lacing around the glass, almost clear, deep and pure golden colour with a light haze of yeast throughout. Pleasant, delicate bouquet of lemon rind and even some candied lemon, mandarin peel, lychee, hint of pine, melon, white bread crust, biscuit, ginger, pink grapefruit, fresh green bell pepper, chicken spices, hint of freshly cut celery. Clean fruitiness in the onset with sweetish and sourish impressions of green banana, lychee, yellow kiwi and passion fruit, medium carbonation, slick but filling, lightly oily mouthfeel; pale malt sweetish backbone with a nice biscuity sweetness to it, adequately balancing a drying, resinous, aromatically hoppy finish with delicate retronasal candied citrus, exotic spice and flower aromas, providing a long, but gentle and elegant bitterness that goes down with some remaining juicy malt sweetishness. Alcohol remains well hidden and it does not feel at all like a +8% ABV beer. Delicate, elegant and refined example of the style, exemplary for one of Germany’s ’new school’, internationally ’craft-oriented’ breweries. Enjoyed this a lot!
