Mermaid’s Red™ bucks the shallow mid-range red ale stereotype. Loaded with Cascade hops, it delivers a fresh floral aroma and sharp bitter notes, all while delivering a solid kick of roasted malts that fades seamlessly into a rich, chocolaty finish with hints of clove and caramel.

Very simple American red ale, full of toasted bread and caramel, with a modest piney-grapefruit Cascade hoppiness backed up by earth, wet grain, and a mild bitter finish. Not remarkable, but easy to drink.

All'olfatto si esprimono sentori di luppolo e cioccolato. L'olfatto viene sollecitato in maniera elevata, permanendo in maniera sufficiente.

On tap. Pours a slightly hazy red-amber with a large, frothy, long lasting, beige head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, bread, caramel, cloves, floral and citrus. Sweet flavour of bready malt, caramel, clove, roast and a hint of chocolate with a dry, hoppy, bitter pine resin finish. Light to medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Tasty.

(bottle, 35.5cl) Hazy, dark amber colour with a beige and short foamy head. Dark malty, slightly roasted aroma with notes of dark and red berries, accompanied by resiny hops. Mildly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Berry-fruity and slightly roasted taste with hints of bread and resin; dry-ish mildly bitter hoppy and fruity finish. Likeable. 09.XII.17
