Cask - Pours an almost clear golden colour with a small mostly lasting frothy near white head. Aroma is fruity, oranges and lemons with some tropical notes. A moderately sweet fruity taste, citrus and light sweet malts with a moderate bitter finish.

On tap at Worm Has Turned, Derby. Pours a slightly hazy lemon yellow with a small white head and good lacing. There is a creamy general citrus aroma. In the mouth there is low carbonation, with citrus bitterness combining with lemon and hints of tangerine and pine. Finish is quite bitter. Not at all bad – helped by not being so “in your face”.

Burnt Mill Pintle Pale Ale 4.3% Fairly clear pale gold with a mouthwatering Citra fruity aroma. Nice medium body that’s fairly dry and supremely well put together. Nice minty pine with fresh zesty Citra fruitiness. I think it was just 800¥/440ml which is good value.

Slightly cloudy golden colour, small white head and some lace. Citrus and fruits in the nose, also yeastyness. Light-bodied. Dry, crisp, light with citrus and pine. Okish.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a hazy burnt orange with a frothy off white finger head. Aroma is lemon, citrus, very tingle on the nose. Taste is sweet forward, loads of fruit, citrus, grapefruit, very tingly, lemon tartness remains.
