Sampled @ Tilquin English Beer Festival 2018. A almost clear orange brown beer with a small off-white head. Aroma of dark brown malt, dark riped fruits, caramel. Taste of dark riped fruits, brown malt, caramel, nuts.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; dark brown pour with a frothy tan head, aroma has chocolate and some roast, taste has chocolate malts, some dark fruits, bitter coffee, ok.

Keg at the Euston Tap West Lodge, 21/03/18. Black with a decent tan covering. Nose is chocolate biscuit, rich roast, dried fruits, light spice. Taste comprises a cocoa dusting, tar, light spice, dried fruits, liquorice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Decent stout ... the flavour profile peels away from the nose a little.

Bottle at Park Fever, Hither Green. Black pour with a tan head. Nose of toffee, raisin, lots of yeast, chocolate, dark fruits. Flavours of milk chocolate, coffee, caramel, raisin. Good.

Keg at the Euston tap. Am opaque black /dark brown coloured pour with a lasting creamy tan head. Aroma is earthy nutty toasted malts, roast, little tang, tangy dark fruit, burnt sugars. Palate is rounded, creamy, moderate carbonation, tangy finish. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, brown sugars, dried fruit, tangy fruit cake. Little boozy and ginger snap in the finish.
