Bottle from McHughs. Jet black with a tan head. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Flavour is deep roast malt, velvet texture, licorice and sweet chocolate.

Bottle with cotteridge wine. Deep ruby to black colour with a tan head. Deep roasted malty aroma with a touch of smoke. Taste is light smokey. Body thin.

33cl bottle from a trade with Beersiveknown, many thanks Steve! Pours almost black with a huge most good lasting tan head. Aroma of dark roasted malt, coffee and bitter hops. Taste of intense roasted malt, rich on coffee, vanillla and some bitter hops, delicious!

Bottle at the 2nd Annual Garvie Christmas Tasting. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of liquorice, prunes, dried fruit. Taste is thin, more liquorice, faint roast.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Black body with a thick tan head. Light lacing. Aroma of chocolate, salted caramel and hazelnut. Flavour of roasted malt, cocoa and burnt wood. Thin to medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. Rich and full flavoured but perhaps a tad thin.
