Can. 4.7%. Tastes a little old. Not that impressive of a creature, caramel UK malts, UK yeast. Probably a lot better on cask, but still not a great beer no matter how you slice it. Mundane.

From bottle at Remko's Bierproefavond. Didn't take notes, just enjoyed nice beers and good company. What I do remember: Trooper Original, 4.7% ABV. Nice bitterness, Typical British.

0.5 l bottle. Nice, amber-orangeish color with a quickly vanishing head foam. Fruits and malts in aroma and sweet taste with a bitter finish. Quite decent.

Singapore holiday - day 12/13, a big bottle from Colbar near Buona Vista MRT, drunk at the hotel [the ABV on the label states 4.7%, as in the illustration, above.] Aroma: Christmas cake, very inviting. Appearance: clear copper, off-white lacing. Palate: light-bodied and slick, softish carbonation. Rather malty finish, long and lingering. Taste: lightly bitter with sweet notes, well-balanced; maltloaf, some almonds, lemon. Extremely flavoursome and satisfying.
