Bottle from Burg Bieren, BB Sept 2015, large sample. Dark brown color, short frothy light brown head. Aroma of caramel malt, quite fruity, plum, cherry pits, slight grainy as well, hint of roast, slight spicy yeast, bit earthy hop. Soft sweetness in taste, slight malty bitterness. Quite decent balance between caramel malty sweetness and soft fruity notes. Interesting take on a bock beer.

Bottle shared on the train, thanks kermis. Opaque murky brownish color, small off-white to beige head. Smell and taste malts, lightly leaves, sweetness, a slight floral hint. Decent body and carbonation. Ah well, it’s drinkable but I wouldn’t order another one.

Bottle. Cloudy red-brown with small off white head. Dark prunes, cinnamon, caramel, palm sugar, apple and red fruits. Light roasted malts underneath. Light sweet with nice tart kick. Very fruity, I'm not too big on bocks and I really like the fruits here, apart from the stupid name this is a nice beer.

On tap at PINT BBF ’14. Dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of some subtle smoke, sweetish, dark fruits. Flavour of some burnt malts, light smoky, very light tartness, dark fruits, hint of berries, some caramel, yeast, light tart finish. Aroma promises more than the beer can deliver. Light-bodied, even a bit watery at times.
