Pajiza, amarillenta, turbia. Espuma normal, blanca.

--- Beer merged from original tick of UnderDog Atlantic Lager on 18 May 2018 at 09:14 - Score: 6

Bottle. Light clear golden with small white head. Light malts, grassy with nice herbal touch. Hint of citrus. Like a less bitter German lager with a slight fresh citrus tart touch. I wish all cheap lagers were as good as this.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, best before 7/12/2013. Moderate gusher upon opening. Pours lightly hazy deep golden color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, pear, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, floral, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt, earthy hops, and yeast ester notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, pear, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, floral, grass, slight pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light earthy herbal bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, pear, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice balance and robustness of pale malt, earthy hops, and yeast ester flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Fairly clean on lager flavors with only some light yeast ester notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.7%. Overall this is a nice pale lager style. All around good robustness and balance of pale malt, earthy hops, and yeast ester flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

355ml bottle from Appellation Wines, cheers Ash! Pours clear pale gold, thick white head. Aromas of grassy, light lemon hops. Taste is light sweet, touch of malt, more light lemon, and maybe a hint of more tropical US hops? Just a hint though. Quite a light body, crisp finish. Decent.

Bottle: Translucent yellow pour, bubbly, with a frothy white head. Mild aroma of malt and grain, lightly grassy. Taste is similar to the nose, as expected. Some metallic bits, but the malt and grain makes it doable.
