Bottle thanks to the Cad. It pours hazy amber with a thick off-white head. The nose is soft fruit, papaya, butternut squash, honey and caramel. The taste is bitter-sweet, tangy papaya, mild acidity, orange tango, toast and caramel with a dry, earthy finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Perhaps a touch sweet, but decent nonetheless.

Craft Clerkenwell, Tuesday Horal Chugging Tasting, bottle big thanks to the Cad for supplying what is probably the first Spanish DIPA I’ve had, 17/09/13. Hazed dark orange amber with a thin off white head. Nose is caramel malts, tropical fruit sundae, papaya mash, sugars, hops. Taste comprises grapefruit, tropical flavours, papaya, hops, sugars, toasted malt. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, subtle hoppage in the finish. Nice stuff.

Bottle shared by Martinus @ weekly tasting. Slightly unclear dark orange color, full sized creamy fair lacing off-white head. Smell malts, hops, fruityness. Taste malts, hops, very nicely bitter. Medium body and carbonation. Very nice beer.

Bottle from Ølbutikken, Copenhagen, bb 24/04/2014
Cloudy amber color with creamy head. The aroma is nice, hoppy, fruity, fresh, with a light peppery note. Full bodied; the mouthfeel is lean and the sweetness very moderate; quite good flavor of caramel and toffee, with strong bitterness, a good share of hop resins and a bitter orange character; lightly dusty in the final; the spicy/peppery note in the end is intriguing.
Very enjoyable.

Craft Clerkenwell. Tuesday Horal Chugging Tasting! Thanks to Tom the Cad for this rare beast. Lightly hazy gold beer with a small pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and airy and slightly crisp. Soft creamy malt supports nice piney - floral hops. Slight hop sting and tropical fruits. Nice light finish. Not picking up papaya in particular but it hardly matters as it just a nice DIPA.

Bottle Orange/amber colour with an off-white head with a nice lacework and perfect lasting. Aroma is fruity, notes of resins and pine, tropical fruits are highly present, good maltiness and slightly caramel. Flavor is quite similar, with a good compensation between the alcohol and the fruity notes, tropical fruits, malts, caramel, notes of tangerina, orange peel and slightly citrus are present. The final has a a decent bitterness with a good duration, no astringency. Smooth and creamy on palate results very drinkable.

Bottle at the Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Poured a cloudy medium amber with a broken bubbly white head. The aroma is rich, malty and a little papaya. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with lots of liqourice, fruit, malt and heart warming alcohol on the super smooth palate. One of the best DIPA’s I’ve ever had.
