Little has changed since Thomas Cooper brewed his first batch of Sparkling Ale in 1862. It's still naturally conditioned in the bottle with our unique strain of Coopers yeast. To enjoy the complete Sparkling experience, roll the bottle to mix in the yeast sediment before pouring. No additives. No preservatives.
Our much loved Sparkling Ale is a bold and distinctive beer with a perfect balance of malt, hops and fruity characteristics. One of the things that give our ales that unique Coopers flavour and cloudy appearance is a process called natural conditioning. To achieve this, we add a small amount of live yeast to our beer just before packaging. This causes a secondary fermentation in the bottle or can, which carbonates the beer and eliminates the need for any preservatives or additives.

wasnt very impressed with this. i know this is bottle fermented, but i had big CHUNKS in the beer. maybe it went bad? there was next to no aroma. Flavour was very very bitter, but not a good bitter, tasted really bad.

Pours a hazy orange with a thin white head. Aroma of grains, some hops, citrus notes. Not nearly as tasty as the Belgian blondes, but better than most lagers.

Second round for this beer, a solid brewery and this beer is classical, best before in 2023. First beer yesterday coming back from a vide grenier. A kind of keller beer with American influence, malty, a bit buttery, creamy, smooth, fruity, bitter. 21.04.24

375ml can. Murky golden brown colour, small white head, modest retention. Fruity, bready malts, hint of caramel. Taste has the caramel malts, yeast, a light fruity note but not as much as expected from the aroma. A light-dry herbal bitter finish. Medium bodied and carb'd. Good.

Can from Drinks of the world, st. Gallen. It is clear golden with a white head. The aroma is sweet, malt, grass and straw. The taste is medium sweet and slight bitter.

Sample, thanks to Graham down there! Pours gold, vague mist with a white head that recedes to a patchy splodge. Aroma of sweet butterscotch, which continues onto the palate, fairly sweet, toffee, distant orange, fair carbonation. Not quite harmonious but still flavourful. Ok.
