Bottle 33cl. @home poured into a tulip glass. Smoky nose, Opaque medium amber colour, tall frothy off-white head, good retention, heavy lacing. Aroma mild smoke and smoked malt, light bacon, caramel, retronasal smoke. Taste medium sweet and above light bitter, malty, smoke, caramel, some bacon, umami, Medium body, watery to oily texture, soft carbonation, malty sweetbitter aftertaste, lingering smokiness, smooth and easy to drink, could use a bit more body but despite that a good brew.

Dark orange color, slight but steady head. Slight smoky, malty aroma. Full bodied. Malty and smoky flavor with apricot. Is it a bock beer? No! But it is a magnificent beer. The typical Bamberg smokiness, in lighter form, mixed with a Belgian tripel flavor. A lovely and inventive mix.

Bottle at drie dorstige herten. Aroma of smoke, malt and chocolate. Taste has smooth meaty smoke, chocolate, caramelised malt, ripe fruit, caramel and a nice finish. Good.

Bottle at home. Ordered online from LekkerLokaal Nijmegen. Amber with off white head. Sweet malts, caramel, dry smokey beechwood, sheeps grease, some beefjerky and chestnuts. Moderate sweet and quite bitter, some dry meaty umaminess. Medium body and soft carbonation. Not as resiny and fat pigs greasy as some of the better smoked beers but rather dry and bitter. Still very enjoyable.
