330ml can BBE July 2021. Pours gold, small white head and reasonable retention. Aroma of malts, citrus and stone fruits. Taste is hoppy grapefruit, mild herbs and spice as well as a decent malt content for the ABV. The finish has a citrus note and a nice long bitterness. Ok its not one of the greats but at £1 at B&M this is the best quality beer I've had around this price range so far. Maybe I had a fresh can.

330ml can from B&M. Poured a clear golden colour with a short-lived frothy white head. The aroma is malt, mineral, calcium, fake sugar. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, light dry floral hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.

Keg tap at Oakes Barn, Bury St Edmunds. Golden, slightly hazy. A large but quickly dissipating white head leaves a patchwork of lacing. Fresh grapefruit aroma, with pineapple and lemon cookie. Taste is refreshing, but sweeter and blander than I’d have liked. A touch of bitterness on the finish but there’s a saccharin note - diet lemonade? - in the aftertaste. I enjoy Woodfordes’ more adventurous recipes, but this one is a bit safe unfortunately.
