Sample from 2017 bottle during the Alaska Beer: Glacial Awareness event on 06/20/2020. Opaque black pour with a medium khaki head that diminishes gradually to a film. Small patches of lace. Aroma of roast malt, coffee, chocolate and fruit. Full-bodied with flavors of burnt malt, espresso, dark chocolate, maple and dark fruit. The finish is roasty with a chocolatey malt aftertaste. Good beer all around.

Bottle [from trade, thanks!] @ Anti-Carnavalstasting 2018 shared with Dutchdrebus. Opaque pitch black color, medium sized dark brown colored head that lasts for a decent while. Aroma and flavor are malts, dark malts, bourbon, molasses, maple syrup, malt bitterness and roasted malts. A nice bourbon alcohol and bourbon sweet liquor touch to it. Medium body, medium to full carbonation. Nice! -- Rerate August 4th 2018. Shared with Caesar and Jerohen. Awesome aroma and flavor, malts, bourbon, molasses. Same as before but I like it better anyway. Up by 0.1 to a 4.2.
