Bottle, 22oz. Thx to womencantsail. It pours a dark body, opaque black it seems, and with a dense, two-finger tan head leaving some curtains. The aroma is very heavy, with molasses, salty licorice, roasted malts, alcohol and very dark chocolate. It’s silky and warming on the palate, full-bodied and almost sticky. Sweet, sugary flavor with molasses, some faint bonfire notes, salty licorice, roasted malts and some coffee and booze. More coffee towards the finish, along with alcohol, molasses, salty licorice and brown sugar. Most definitely a tasteful beer, but I think it’s a bit too warming and sweet. Don’t think I’d finish a bottle on my own. 130814

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with medium creamy tan head that lasts while. The aroma is smoke roast and chocolate. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet roast and chocolate flavor with oak and booze in the finish. A very good imperial stout from Midnight Sun.
