Bottle at the hotel in Corralejo from Libeerdade. Pours an almost clear pale yellow with a quickly dissipating head. Nose is deep, layered grain notes with a vague hint of acetaldehyde. Taste is sweet, grainy, pretty nice malt character actually, but a touch too much on the sweet side, could’ve used more bittering. Light to medium bodied (well, for the style) with medium carbonation - also could’ve done with more. Got a nice malt character going on, with some adjustments it could be a great lager actually. Not too bad as is either.

Pajiza ligeramente turbia, de color vainilla y dos dedos de espuma blanca cremosa. Aroma fino con notas de levadura, vainilla y citrico. En boca es ligeramente punzante de gas, seca, citrica. Muy agradable y refrescante.

Review based on the BJCP2021 (style 2A). Bottle 33 cl - Batch 845/046 (BB: 12/2024). AROMA: medium-low grainy-sweet malt aroma with honey hints. low minerally notes and faint metallic. APPEARANCE: pale straw color and translucent. medium white head, creamy, with good retention for style. TASTE: initial medium-low to low grainy-sweet flavor. medium-low bitterness with a semi-dry finish with hints of malt. MOUTHFEEL: medium-low to low body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: a good example of a craft pale lager on the lighter side.

Bottle 33cl. @home poured into a shaker. Hazy pale golden colour, small white head, mostly diminishing, light lacing. Aroma pilsner malt, grain, straw, bisquit. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, biscuiy, bit paper, earthy notes. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, mild sweetbitter aftertaste, bit more bitterness, nice.

330ml bottle, online from Beer Without Borders, Dumfries. Pours almost clear yellow golden with a white head. Aroma: straw, grains, biscuits. Taste: light to moderate sweet & light bitter, more biscuits, light citrus. Medium body with soft carbonation. More like a golden ale than a lager, not bad though.

33 cl bottle at O Castelo, Marvão. A hazy pale golden pour with an ephemerous off-white head. Aroma is earth, iron, bread. Somewhat dry mouthfeel with medium body. Low bitterness and abrupt finish. Bah.
