Pale Ale
Our year round Pale Ale is light, refreshing and hazy. Gentle bitterness from Cascade and Centennial hops on the hot side meet bright, juicy citrus fruit notes from Citra on the dry hop.
All wrapped up with a soft mouthfeel and hints of stone fruit from our house yeast.

[Cask at the Castle Tap, Reading.] An opaque pale amber pour with a ring of white head; sweet tropical fruit aroma; dry fruity taste with a thin silky body; and a very dry finish with a pithy grapefruit bitterness. Not quite balanced.

Draft at the Tap and Tandoor, Solihull. Poured a murky golden orange colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, light woody hops. The flavour is moderate to light bitter, with a smooth oaty, light citrus, peppermint, light floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

16/6/2021. Draught at the Arcade Street Tavern, Ipswich. Pours cloudy pale orange gold with a frothy/creamy white head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, pithy orange, grass, light tropical notes. Moderate sweetness and light bitterness with a slight tart edge. Moderate body, average carbonation. Citrusy finish, some developing earthy bitterness. Pretty decent.

440ml can from Sophie's Beerstore: BB 2nd Apr 2021. Drank at home on 6th Mar 2021. Hazy orange/amber body, short lived white head. Nose held citrus and piney notes, taste loses the the pine and concentrates on the citrus elements. There is 'dank' feel to the whole thing, which took away some of my enjoyment.

Tap at the brewery tap with Dad, 9th August 19. A fresh batch apparently. Pours a straw colour beer. Aroma is citrus and hay. Taste is citrus, dry, well balanced and very drinkable. I thought this was a great beer.
