Our 1838 anniversary beer is brewed with exquisite ingredients and great attention to detail by our dynamic and creative brewing team with 5.0% alcohol.
The special selection of barley malts and exclusive aroma hops gives the new highlight of our house its subtle bitterness as well as its sensational fruity-sparkling hop aroma. A firework of taste senses - cheers!

A really nice and tasty brew.
Clear nutty pour and a fine tan head. Solid lacing.
Fine intensity in the aroma.
Mellow sweetness and a fine carbonation level.
Pleasant to drink.
Toffee, fruity, herbal and bready flavor.

Bottle from Gabriel - Cheers! 🍻🍻 Tight tan head on slowly carbonating chestnut coloured body. Malt, treacle & bitter aroma. Medium bodied, foamy clean & dry. Caramel, malt, toffee & treacle tastes with a tangy bitter finish. Excellent.

@ Stammhaus, Schumacher. Dark brown colour, beige foam. Caramel, roasted malts, bitter hoppy finish. Rather bitter, and a bit roasty. Good Altbier!

On tap at Schumacher. A little darker than the Alt. Still filtered, but a redder touch. Steady, foamy, beige head. Heavier and sweeter than the Alt. I suppose more of an Amber Lager/Ale to me, lacks the finesse of the classic Alt.

The truest of altbiers. Amber color and malt forward. Clean, but still a touch of that dms-like stuff. Great beer. Schumacher dusseldorf
