I thought it was ok on a hot day in Egypt. It is another typical lager from a macrobrewery. Decent body and head of foam. The taste was fine but nothing special. If you’re in Egypt this is one of the most widely available beers, it gets the job done but is nothing to write home about.

50cl bottle in Hurghada, Egypt. Pours clear, pale golden with a minimal, white head. Lightly malty aroma with hints of cooked vegetables and hops. A bit sweet and not so much flavour. Pretty standard industrial pale lager, drinkable, especially on a sunny day in Egypt. Slightly higher alcohol content than Sakara Gold, but I would prefer the latter one. (Backlog - tasted 2009-12-11)

Yellow colour with a white head. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. A bit thin body. Light fruity flavour with an ok caramel malt background. Far better than expected. Moderate sweet and light hoppy.

4/XI/12 - 33cl can @ home - BB: I/13 (2012-1248) Thanks to Thomas and Annelies for the can!
Clear pale blond beer, big creamy white head, little stable, adhesive, nice lacing. Aroma: grains, bit sweet, little spicy. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sugary, sweet malts, candied orange peel. Aftertaste: sweet, grains, hay, little bitter, then a dry bitter finish.

Bottled, 0.33l. Clear pale golden color with large frothy white head and lively carbonation. Aroma of grassy hops, malt, citruses and a bit skunky, too. Taste starts sour fruity and is followed by light malty spiciness, which extends into the finish. Mouthfeel is well carbonated, while aftertaste is lightly bitter. Light body, thin texture and average carbonation in palate. Could be worse...

Excellent enough lager to quench the thirst on a hot day, although it is a hot day everyday in Egypt. Has a disappointing soapy aftertaste.

Brought back from a world cruise by my parents: green 330ml bottle poured into a ’Duvel’ glass on a cold and wet May evening in Shropshire. Oh dear: this is one bland brew and it doesn’t hold it’s looks for long either. Clear body of very pale straw coloured liquid: the head that appeared disappeared just as quickly to leave a mini wisp and thin collar around the glass. Wet cardboard aroma, dry and metallic taste: this isn’t good. Wish I had someone to share it with (this is a live tasting).

In Egypt, one of my few from memory. I remember this as we all know INBEVs Stella, so it was a suprise to find 3 version of Stella when in Egype. Plus my Wife is called Stella, so i could now claim that Stella came in 3 different flavours... This was all you would expect from a poor lager.

Bottle, gift. Yellow color with almost no head. Aroma quite watery, some grain. Taste, almost nothing, maybe some malt, hops, watery. Refreshing in hot weather, nothing more.
