A black strong lager marked by coffee and liquorice notes provided by the coupage of four malts. Brewed by Hijos de Rivera’s Brewmasters in the only Company’s brewery placed in A Coruña, using our traditional methods: best ingredients, long maturing time, passion for the excellence. The coupage of four traditionally floor malted Check barley malts is the base of this beer’s character.
Black color, with copper and ruby shades. Roasted aromas reminiscent of malts and coffee. Intense and lasting bitter character combined with subtle liquorice and cocoa notes in the background.

33 cl bottle. Pours bright black with ash gray head (strange color). Aroma is caramel, liquorice, cola, cocoa and walnut. Taste starts slightly sweet, then develops into metallic and bitter (altogether nice). Medium to full body. Not bad.

Black color with a beige head with medium retention. Aroma has notes of roasted malts with light licorice. Flavor is slightly sweet, some roasty notes with light to medium maltiness. Light sweet final with low maltiness.

33cl bottle from a 4-pack i think from el corte ingles. clear brown, small light brown head. Brown as a brown ale, or a really bad porter. color fits the style perfectly though. Aroma of rye bread and roasted malts.Alc. well hidden, also notes of dark dried fruits. Quite pleasing aroma, somewhere between a Dunkel and a dubbel. Flavor is roasted malts, faint dark dried fruits. Burnt caramel, A Tmavÿ with a hefty alc. punch, and high on flavors. Still, the beer comes of as macroish, and the burnt caramelly bitterness is distracting. Commercial macro spanish black beer is pretty rare, and this one is one of the better, but a long way from being as tasty as for instance edge from barcelona.

Caoba, translúcida. Bonita espuma manchada. Lastima. En cualquier caso esta buena. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330 mml Bottle tasted on the 22/11/2014. Very dissaponted with this beer. Black colour with a decent lazy head, dispersed aroma and watery taste. Next one please!
