Hmmm...the regular cask alt at the brewpub can’t be filtered, so I don’t get it. Hazy dull amber. Toasty, with some slight mushroomy oxidation. Hoppy, dry, yeasty and toffee-accented malts. Firm, assertive and quite dry.

Bottle 50cl. w. swing top @ home.[ Trade by Koelschtrinker ]. Unclear light to medium brown color with a large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, hop dusty. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and shell bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is has a light metalic bitterness. A very nice beer good and hoppy german beer, aroma is wek but the flavor is super ;o). previously tested on BTO 04/2007: Dank an MoritzF!

Hazy dark amber, bit of UFO’s; with huge, very fine & dense dark beige head, lacy. Wood, yeast, dry malts, some of them coloured, fresh green leaves. BItter à souhait , wood, little smokiness, but above all a WONDERFUL bitterness, achieved, it would seem, with only noble German hops. Medium bodied, chewy, velvety texture. Another superb realisation from my N°1 favourite German brewpub. Danke, Sebastian
