Off white fluffy head stayed on a murky reddish brown body with lots of particles. Oaked, smoked malty aroma. Medium bodied.Smooth & minimally carbonated. woody, smoked, mild fruity hints & very dull taste.

Draught. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Red amber colour. Heavy malty and light hoppy smoked aroma. Moderate bitter very smoked flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

Draught @ Fermentoren, Aarhus. Pours slightly hazy dark chestnut with an offwhite head. Aroma of malt, rye, little caramel, smoke, smoked meat, bacon, little wood. Flavor is malt, caramel, wood, berries, smoke, bacon, bonfire smoke. Medium body, average to lively carbonation, dry smoked finish. 130817

Bottle at home, 25th February 17. Pours a chestnut brown, good fluffy head. Aroma is smoke, phenols, some roared malt. Taste is smoke, roasted malts, some sweetness, slight caramel. Different and enjoyable winter beer.

Bottle. Dark brown, small head. Aroma is quote aggressive smoked ham, after some time becomes more mellow. I didn’t like it very much.

Bottle 0.33l at Gallow’s Bird, Espoo. Colour is clear light copper with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Grain, some bread, smoke, caramel, some tar and malts. This is not sahti. Admins please change style to smoked/specialty grain. Still pretty good.

Bottle from Saveur-Biere as Red Rye. Pours dark red/brown with a light tan head. Aroma of strong smoked cheese, malt, chocolate, subtle hop and spices. Light sweetness and bitterness with a touch of sour and a little salty too. Light/medium body, thin yet sticky texture, average carbonation. Finish has a smokey bitter edge.

No to mamy tu w tej malej buteleczce zamknieta cala Frankonie. Bardzo zblizone zapachem jak i smakiem do wedzonek z Bamberga zwlaszcza. Zapach dymu, torfu, ziola suszone nad ogniskiem. W smaku kielbasa jalowcowa, aronia, troche jerzyny i ta caly czas wedzonka, becon w ustach jakby pozostal i utknal w gardle. Super. Wyglad to lekko drobinkowo metne ciemno czerwone piwo z niewielka pianka na 2cm opadajaca szybko.
