Backlog May 2014. Dark amber, almost black body under a medium sized, dense beige head. Aroma of roasted, dark malt with a hint of dark chocolate. Taste is sweet, dark, roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla and some coffee. Balanced bitterness. Fine body and pleasant aftertaste. Quite straight forward, but tasty and well made.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Black coloured brew with an interresting taste of roasted malts, chocolate, vanilla, juniper. Very good stout indeed.

Bottle. Black with a shade of brown. Minimal head. Light aroma of dark fruits first reminds me of a Doppelbock but then the smells of malts and chocolate kick in. Some smoke in there too. Taste is coffee, malts, dark chocolate and liquorice. Long lasting bitter hoppy finish with even more coffee and chocolate. Can’t detect the vanilla though...Balanced and well made even if the alcohol shines through. Lovely.

dark brown colour, moderate sized brown head; aroma and taste of coffee, some herbs, hints of vanilla, ash and intensive roastedness; not bad, but a bit one-dimensional (mainly dominated by roasted bitterness with only minimal other notes)

Bottle. Dark pour, foamy head. Aroma has malt and some herbs. Taste of licorice, earthy dusty hop, herbs, grassy bitter and some malt. Weird, not very good.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Hema, Culemborg. Pitch black with a small tan head. Heavy roasted coffee aroma with some hops. Taste is medium bitter with again lots of hops and some vanilla. Great beer.
