Sampled from a bottle this beer poured a black color with a huge foamy brown head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was coconut, chocolate and vanilla cream. The flavor was coconut, cocoa, toasty malts and cream. Medium length finish. Medium body.

Bottle. Pours clear reddish black, medium tan head, dissipates fairly quickly, decent lacing. Aroma is HUGE mounds bar and thats about it. Flavor is fully sweet, mounds bar in a glass. Medium body. Gimmicky as shit but its fun for a few ounces.

Growler from the brewpub, 4/5/16. Dark brown, thin foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of lactose, coconut, vanilla, chocolate. The taste is roasted malt, chocolate brownies, coconut, lactose. Medium bodied, low carbonation, creamy. Nice

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours clear nearly opaque dark brown color with a 1 finger dense tan head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big milk chocolate, toasted coconut, cocoa, vanilla, cream, caramel, toffee, light coffee, and roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roasted malt, lactose, and coconut/chocolate notes; with great strength. Taste of big milk chocolate, toasted coconut, cocoa, vanilla, cream, caramel, toffee, light coffee, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal/roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of milk chocolate, toasted coconut, cocoa, vanilla, cream, caramel, toffee, light coffee, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roasted malt, lactose, and coconut/chocolate flavors; with a great roasted bitter/sweet balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky, and slightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an outstanding coconut milk stout. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roasted malt, lactose, and coconut/chocolate flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A highly enjoyable offering.

Lots of sediment in this black beer. Bottle. Does smell chocolaty but is almost a cloying olfactory. Big mouthful of dark choco with hints of cinny. Some co2 but its roasted alky laced bitter choco thang is in yer face. Does not hide alky well and well, for a sweet stout that’s pretty 6% funny. I was putting this off tasting it and now I’ve confirmed why. Look, I like mild friendly milk stout but this is a little too much. Difficult at times.
