Growler to lager glass.
Appearance: black color with a three finger off-white foamy head, moderate lace trying to stick but ultimately slides at a good pace
Aroma: lots of dark roasted malts, subtle coffee grounds, dark bready toastiness, sly earthiness
Flavor: semi-sweet with mild roasty, earthy and toasty character, moderate aftertaste of roast, toast and earthiness
Texture: light to medium bodied with great sessionability about it. Good carbonation and dark roasty finish
Overall: nicely done dark lager well worthy of returning to.

Can courtesy of Leighton. Cheers commander. Sits clear dark ruby red tinged brown. Lovely leggy beige froth. Light nutty roast and pretty vinous. Hops come across herbal and nettle leaf like. Ashy dry and lightly bitter. Light body. Soft vinous finish.

Can via the brewery. It pours darkest brown to black with a decent frothy beige head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, earthy, toasty, treacle tart, spicy, cacao nibs, dark fruits, plum, prune, figgy pudding and rocky road. The taste is dry, toothy, bitter - sweet, rich roasted malt, toasty, charred oak, cacao nibs, dark chocolate, coffee grounds, Eccles cake, rocky road, molasses and some spice with a dry, roasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Plenty to like about this... flavourful and moreish. Nice balance. Quality dark lagerbier.
