(Draught at Fermentoren, Copenhagen, 25 Jan 2013) Dark reddish amber colour with creamy, beige head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, grapefruit, pine needles and a touch of resin. Fruity, hoppy taste with caramel, grapefruit, resin, pine needles, slightly toasty malt and a generous bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Lovely beer with an impressive hop profile.

On tap at CBC 2012. Looks good in the glass, copper coloured, nice head. Hoppy-fresh aroma. Starts intense hoppy and dry, quite bitter. More and more fruity with hints of grapefruit. Interesting, but a bit too dry.

16oz pour at Fermentoren pours a copper amber with orange edges and some rocky, slightly off white head. Nose is just like an American pale, malty, biscuit, bread, yeasty, pine, lemon, grapefruit, lightly floral. Flavor is very pungent, bitter, orange peel, grapefruit pulp, some kumquat, light honey, light malt. Full bodied, bracing bitter finish. Very true to the style.

Tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration. Pours hazy, light red with a fine, white foam head. Fresh pine nose with some toasty malts. Medium sweet flavor with faint caramel and toast, lots of fresh pine, some light, ripe fruits. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Crisp, mildly resinous finish with lightly abrasive pine and toasted grass, moderate caramel sugars. Lasting bitter pine. A nice amber ale.
