A real Berliner Weisse with fresh, apple-like aromas, fine acidity and fine yeast aromas. A pure pleasure even without a shot. The master brewer Michael Schenk recommends simply trying his white pure.

Bottle. Not one of my favorite styles. Light gold in color with a small quickly disappearing head. Aroma is like funky fruit juice. Taste is a funky, sour apple taste.

Hazy pale yellow golden colour, small fizzy fast disappearing head, lot of activity in the glass including tiny yeast particles that sink to the bottom. Aroma tart, wheat malt, lemon, green apples, yeast, Taste medium sour and ever so light sweetbitter, tart, wheat, lemon, gooseberry, apple. Light body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lingering dry sour aftertaste, good example of a traditional Berliner Weisse.

Bottle. Grainy apple aroma. Lemon. Hay. Sour and totally dry. Apple sourness. Lemon. Even has some body in spite of its 2.5% ABV. Long finish. Excellent old school Berliner Weisse.

Aus der Flasche 2015-08 getrunken. Schöner schneller Durstlöscher mit einer wohldossierten Säure.

Bottle. Hazy golden color with white head that goes down quickly. Aroma is caramel, fresh yeast, berries, cardnoard. Taste is tart, green apples, gooseberries, cardboard. Fizzy mouthfeel. Feels a bit oxidized. Meh.

On tap at Stadin Panimobaari Oy, pours a hazy dark golden with a tiny white head. Aroma of astringent tart stone fruits, with plenty of lacto and heavy vinegar. Flavour is nasty, with lots of disgusting acetic notes, some phenols, and tart citrus. I like berliners, but this is awful on so many levels. An undrinkable, infected mess.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, golden colour with a blond and quickly collapsing frothy head. Funky sour-fruity, moderately wheaty aroma of green apples with a doughy and distinctively grainy touch. Sour-tart flavour, light bodied with a mildly prickly carbonation. Slim wheaty malty base with notes of dough, apples, lemon and a slightly funky touch; sour-fruity and moderately tart finish. Okay. 08.V.18

Draught at KCBD18. Metal, fruit, lemon aroma. Hazy golden colour. Almost no head. The flavour is citric, metallic, fruity, somehow teaish. OK balanced. A bit too strange.
