A real Berliner Weisse with fresh, apple-like aromas, fine acidity and fine yeast aromas. A pure pleasure even without a shot. The master brewer Michael Schenk recommends simply trying his white pure.

Draught at KCBD18. Metal, fruit, lemon aroma. Hazy golden colour. Almost no head. The flavour is citric, metallic, fruity, somehow teaish. OK balanced. A bit too strange.

Draught @ KCBD18. Pours nearly clear straw with very small white head, Clear aroma of malt and fruit, with mild cheesy notes and touches of yeast. Sour and cheesy flavour with estwry notes and mild touches of malt. Hints of hops. Acidic aftertaste with notes of malt. Low carbonation. Well, not much to be inspired by,

0.33 l bottle from 'Bierhandwerk', best before November 2018. Slightly hazy, golden yellow with a medium large, foamy, slowly diminishing, white head. Just slightly sweetish, sourish and quite fruity aroma of rhubarb, lemon, green apples and some wheat. Minimally sweetish, quite sour, rather fruity taste of rhubarb, lots of lemon, gooseberry, apples and some wheat, followed by a medium long, very tart, dry finish. Thin body, quite astringent and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Not a very refined example of the style, pretty one-dimensional, not overly enjoyable due to its over-whelming acidity.

Tart lemon, farmhouse. Hazy yellow, medium head. Tart lemon, hints of lime at midpalate. Some funk. Finishes relatively clean. Light body, spritzy. It was surprising to find funk in a berlinerweisse, but it was still enjoyable.
