Draft. A pretty decent brown, reminiscent of a new castle. Poured brown, hoppyiness & nuttiness.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy amber with off white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is toasted malt and nuts. Medium mouth feel with sweet malts, cocoa, toast, sweet finish, very good.

Growler brought home from brewery.
This was poured into a mug.
The appearance was a nice looking dark brown color with a slim finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated within less than thirty seconds.
Slim stringy lacing roams around the glass.
The smell had a sweet to nutty and slight caramel malt roaming around decently.
The taste was exceptionally sweet through the nutty/caramel maltiness. A super sticky caramel balanced aftertaste leads to the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. A nice sweet sticky carbonation rolls over my tongue.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good English Brown ale that I would have again.

Refrigerated 12 oz. bottle poured into a glass. Pours dark brown with very little head and very little lacing. Aroma is lightly nutty. The taste is nice roasted malt, some bitter roasted nuttiness and a little more hoppy than some of the other english style brown ales that I have had. Pretty good for the style.

(Draught) Dark brown and almost clear. Small white head. Strong malty aroma. Medium bodied and still watery palate with lot of carbonation. Malts, roastedness and bitterness in taste. Malty and bitter aftertaste. This beer is easy to drink and taste is ok but bit boring.
