Rating from 4-20-2010....12 oz. bottle...copper with a beige head....the aroma is so light its almost non-existent...a whiff of malt and a whiff of citrus & some metal :(...there is not much to this beer, the closest to hops I get are in the mild bitter finish...there is a lot of metallic flavor throughout this beer....and its watery

Pours a reddish brown with a two finger bubbly off white head that dissipates slowly and leaves minimal lacing. Smells of citrus and flowery hops, with a bit of sweet honey and caramel malt aromas. Taste is a bit floral earthy almost mineraly with a sweet malt edge. Sweet honey and maybe some brown sugar in there with a hint of butterscotch. Long lingering sweetness in the finish. Medium body and carbonation, with a watery/syrupy almost tart mouthfeel. Decent brew, but hardly an IPA. If it were a pale ale I might have scored it higher. Better than most magic hat brews, but pedestrian when compared to some other craft brew offerings.

Looks good, pouring a dark, slightly hazed red-amber, with a light beige head that lasts like a champ. But the smell brings your expectations crashing down, blandly smelling of malt, hop, and ambiguous beer. Super malty for having such a "big hop bite!" Dumbed down IPA, minimal bitterness, with no hop flavor save for oily IBUs. Smooth and creamy, but even a good feel can’t save this brew. (6/8/09)

Mildly spicy IPA, but not a stark difference from other Magic Hat offerings. Golden amber pour. Has that distinct Magic Hat hop malt taste. Rated 8/2/08

Very light hops, but there are there. Light brown color. Solid malt base and very light American hops in the flavor. Some biscuit aftertaste. An OK session beer.

This IPA poured a slightly cloudy, light orange colour with a nice big frothy, white head. To the nose there are scents of orange and pineapple citrus, citrus and more citrus. First taste was smooth with a nice mellow hopp flavour. Flavours include tea and citrus. Finish is hoppy with a little bitter flavours lingering.

Bottle. Orange pour with a decent white head. Aroma is hops, noticeable heavy malt overtones. Flavor is light on the hops, but pretty well balanced. Not too malty, easy to drink. Sometimes comes in Magic Hat mix-packs and that’s probably the only time I’d drink it.

Pour is a dark brown with a small white head. Aroma is some sweet malts and very little hops. Flavor is again more sweet malts then some hops do make an appearance on the tounge after the swallow. Pretty poor as IPA’s go. When i have a IPA i want a crap load of hops and this has almost none.
