Had this at the Borefts Beer Festival, De Molen Brewery, Bodegraven, Netherlands 30-10-09 Pours reddish in colour with a white filmy head and quite stunning sour fruity aroma, also some wood there as well. I get some fresh berries and the tastes is so funky and sour quite a wonderful contrast to the Imperial Stouts I’d been having over at the other venue. I also get that Cremola soda soft drink that you has as a kid, fruitiness is great, lovely, lovely stuff. A9 A4 F8 P4 Ov17 4.2

Tap @ BBF. Hazy pink color, medium head. Aroma is very fruity, barnyard, tart, bit wood. Perfectly balanced sourness, soft fruity, hint of sweetness. Awesome sour ale.

On tap at Borefts Bier Festival, De Molen. Hazy orange amber colour, dense off white head. Aroma is fruity, sour, musty, some wood. Flavour is sweet, fruity, light funky and a good deal of sourness. Medium bodied. Not my cup of beer, but nice nevertheless. Just a bit too sweet for a good sour ale imo.

Bottle, at LCRBM 2008, ’s Hertogenbosch, Netherlands
Hazy, amber body. Sour aroma of fruits, wood, barnyard, ... Great, very complex and well balanced aroma. Quite weakly carbonated beer. Great flavour however, with a good balance. Heavily sour, lightly sweet flavour. Quite soft (not too sharp). Great, ideal balance between complexity and balance.

Magnum bottle@ LCRBM 2008, ’s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands[ Courtesy of Urbain and Carlo ]. What a suprising treat. Unclear medium amber orange red color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is Wow ;o) sour, acidic, berry fruity, cask wood, oak, wine. Flavor is Wow, heavy sweet, moderate acdic and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, round smooth and very well balanced. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. In one word just WOW .. ;0)) Thanks again Urbain and Carlo, I will love to have anothor go with this beer .. [20081025]

Milder werdend, wenig herb. Im Abgang wieder säuerlicher, minimal bitter. Ein Sommerbier.

Bottle, 7% at LCRBM08. Very good citric cherry aroma. Cloudy, slightly milky dark red colour. Very nice cherry flavour, the citric notes are more lemony than expected, and arrive quite late. Low carbonation.

Bottle @ LCRBM 08 #1600 Rating: What a suprising treat. Poured a hazy reddish brown with a pinkish head that only formed at the edges of teh glass. The aroma is sour cherry and funky. The taste is sour cherries, but not over the top to the point that my mouth puckers. More soothing to allow its full enjoyment. It truly was WoW from first sight!

Magnum bottle, courtesy of Urbain and Carlo at LCRBM08. Pours hazy brown with a fully gone head. Mild cherry fruity aroma at first. Light brettish note too. Very minor oxidised/oldish note. Flavour is smooth cherry-fruity-like flavoured to a mild caramel malt base. Smooth acidic to citric flavour with a light phenolic note on the back of the tongue. Lovely.

Disparate transparant bubbles over fully hazy red-amber beer. Cherry nose, cooked cherries, cassonade sugar, and a twist of acetic acid. Old oxydized cherry - this tastes indeed as very long-lagered old Kriekbier (like old draught Liefmans or Zottegems). Sounds strange, but this is ultra-balanced. Spritzy, refreshing, and yet full-bodied. Excellent beer, truly impressive.
