German Style Hefeweizen
A light, clean, easy drinking Hefeweizen. This beer is categorized by a grain bill of 50% malted wheat and a German weizen yeast strain that is directly responsible for the distinctly complex flavors. Immediately evident in the nose, this brew is punctuated by esters of banana and clove. These aromatics reflect similar flavors detected during consumption.

Bottle. Hazy medium orange body, thin to medium off-white head. Fruity, peachy, tangy nose with wet hay, cereals, and clove. Sharp, quite tangy body, with wet hay and biscuit. Hints of clove and a touch of banana but mostly tangy peachiness that quickly subsides to a dusty, grassy, dry finish.

Sampled from the tap at the 2010 MBG Fall Fest. Poured a near clear orangish gold with a white head that lasted throughout the beer. Aroma had strong notes of wheat backed by a nice clove and banana undertone. Clove was more present on the tongue and was balanced by a sweet wheat and nice banana note.
